Susann Schimk and Jörg Trentmann created credo:film as a Berlin-based film production company in 2001. Since then, they have developed unique feature films and documentaries for both cinema and television. The entirety of the work is produced with dedication and enthusiasm. Building on earlier productions, we plan to create films that combine art house and mainstream. We commit ourselves to cinematic storytelling. We cross international borders in search of films that display the author’s signature and combine narrative competence with professionalism in the production process. The CEOs are members of the German Film Academy and the European Film Academy. In 2005, we launched credo:verleih in order to explore new ways of distribution.
